On April 23, 2024, doctor of Economics, Professor of the Department of Service and Tourism - Kuznetsov Igor Anatoliyovich, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Social Work - Kurilovich Nadezhda Vasilievna, Candidate of Economics, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Strategic Economic Development - Sisoyeva Margarita Sergeyevna, Associate Professor of the Department of Strategic Economic Development Sutyagin Vladislav Yuryevich and Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor of the Russian Language Department Sherbak Antonina Semyonovna from the Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin of the Russian Federation visited to the Urgut branch of the Samarkand State University named after Sharof Rashidov. Before the visit, a discussion on mutual cooperation issues was organized with the participation of the guests and officials headed by the branch director, and a memorandum of mutual cooperation was signed between the two parties.
As we reported, the members of the foreign delegation visited the branch departments and got acquainted with the activities of them and established close cooperation between the departments of the two higher educational institutions based on short and long-term internships and mutual exchange programs. They agreed on the establishment of student exchange and other issues
The members of the delegation introduced Tambov State University, its existing conditions, existing educational programs, directions to branch professors and young researchers in the form of a presentation.
On February 2, 2024, an online meeting with Thom Kiddle, Director of the Norwich Institute of Language Education, was organized at the Urgut branch of Sharaf Rashidov Samarkand State University as part of the cooperation agreement.
D.R.Mardonov, Deputy Director for Scientific Work and Innovations of the Urgut branch of the Samarkand State University, employees of departments of scientific and international cooperation, teachers of the Department of Language Teaching Methods and second-year students of the foreign language and literature department participated in the meeting.
Tom Kiddle spoke about the existing forms and directions of study at the Norwich Institute for Language Education, about the conditions created for learning and teaching at the institute, as well as about the opportunities created, in particular, for international students.
Further prospects for cooperation were also discussed at the meeting. Deputy Director for Scientific Work and Innovations D. R. Mardonov expressed his gratitude to Tom Kiddle in connection with the intimate meeting, noting that the rapid pace of such meetings was beneficial to both sides.
During the meeting, the students also asked questions of their interest.
On December 13, 2023, a meeting for higher educational institutions of Uzbekistan was organized by Tom Kiddle, Director of Norwich Institute for Language Education in England, at the Raddison Blu Hotel in Tashkent.
Dilmurod Mardanov, Deputy Director for Research and Innovation of the Urgut branch of the SamSU, Abror Abdusalimov, Head of the International Cooperation Department, and Zarniso Aktamova, Assistant of the Department of Language Teaching Methods, also took part in the meeting.
As a result of the meeting, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Norwich Institute for Language Education and the Urgut branch of SamSU.
On December 8, 2023, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Urgut branch of Samarkand State University named after Sharof Rashidov and the Kyrgyz-Uzbek International University named after Botirali Siddikov.
In the agreement, the parties undertake to carry out joint research activities in areas of interest to them related to education and scientific activities; to exchange students, undergraduates and teachers in accordance with the legislation of the two countries; to organize official visits, internships in order to improve the skills of teaching and scientific staff; jointly organize and conduct cultural and sports events-wellness activities; to exchange information and assist each other in scientific and methodological support of scientific and educational activities; exchange of specialists for educational, teaching and scientific work; assistance in the training of highly qualified scientific and pedagogical personnel; providing teachers, staff and students with the opportunity to undergo scientific practice; joint organization of international scientific and practical forums (symposiums seminars and conferences, online lectures, webinars, etc.); Through joint efforts, an agreement was reached on the exchange of experience in the development of advanced teaching methods and the introduction of new educational technologies, including coordination of work on the creation of a database using distance and network learning technologies.
